As Commercial Associate & Office Manager at Suncom, I manage our communications, marketing initiatives, and event coordination. Alongside Emma, I also ensure that the office environment is well-organized and supports the team in their day-to-day work.

The first idea of Suncom started in the Summer of 2019 while I was in Houston. All the radiation (heat) on roofs was cooled away with Airconditioning and I believed it would be better to use this heat instead. Mission of Suncom is to Decarbonize industrial heat, an area which is still untouched in the transition from fossil to renewable energy.
My main focus is on business development in the Netherlands and Spain, Funding and any topic which is needed to develop Suncom. We are always looking for talented colleagues to strengthen our team on Business Development, Operations, R&D and Finances. We are keen to meet you!

As an EC&I Engineer at Suncom, I am responsible for the design and integration of the Sunfleet control system to provide a reliable turnkey solution. I oversee plant-wide control architecture, electrical design and instrumentation, ensuring scalable, efficient and long-term energy solutions that help our industrial clients to meet their decarbonization goals with confidence.

As a Development Engineer, I contribute to the advancement of our parabolic trough design, from initial concept and prototyping to detailed engineering and simulations that verify the strength of individual components. At the same time, I am developing several software tools for data analysis and yield prediction, which support the company in evaluating performance and making informed decisions. Hi, I’m Jacco, and I work as a Process Engineer at Suncom, a role that’s both challenging and incredibly rewarding. My job is all about solving complex puzzles. Each project involves integrating key components like our solar field, SunTES, and P2H systems with client infrastructure such as steam boilers and water systems. I define the specifications and connections that make everything work seamlessly.

Within Suncom I have a diverse role. The first part, is Business Development so we can deliver out great products to many more clients. Also, I am involved in the financing part of the Heat-As-A-Service Project (HAAS), which aims to sell Heat to clients on a MWh basis. I joined Suncom to contribute to the development of a novel thermal energy storage technology. I was looking for a place where I could contribute to an R&D project that has both a degree of novelty and a positive societal impact. The type of storage technology that we will be (co-)developing with a well-established research institute and together with industry partners, has just that. The game of thermal energy storage is to find engineering solutions that are cost effective and therefore simple. Quite the opposite compared to my former projects in the Eindhoven high-tech region, but it turns out that the systematic approach to engineering that I learned there, is of great value here as well. The nicest thing about working with Suncom is to work with a very skilled, social and ambitious team. Quite some independence is expected from you which, to me, is very fulfilling.
I am the CTO of Suncom and I lead our product development. With the R&D team I make sure our products stay up to date, become cheaper, more efficient and easier to install and maintain. Besides my role as CTO I am also part of the MT, with which we run the general management of the company.
