Summary
As a Site Manager Spain at Suncom Energy, you are responsible for the on-site execution of our renewable heat projects in Spain, from pre-installation preparations through installation, commissioning, SAT and handover to service. You coordinate suppliers, internal project teams on site, and customers on site, ensuring safe, high-quality execution in line with technical documentation and project planning. With a strong focus on site readiness, safety, and operational excellence, you play a key role in delivering reliable, fully operational systems.
You are based in Spain and work mainly on-site during project execution, alternating with office-based work from Barcelona or Madrid during non-site periods. Your role contributes directly to consistent and repeatable project execution across Suncom Energy’s growing portfolio in Spain.

What we are looking for
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical engineering, or other relevant (technical) degree.
- 5+ years of relevant experience in site management, managing suppliers on site, ideally in renewable energy or industrial heating projects in Spain.
- Ability to read and interpret technical schematics (piping layouts, civil drawings, electrical drawings, I&C manuals, SAT documentation).
- Knowledge of SAT procedures and on-site safety protocols.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills (both Spanish and English).
- Strong planning, coordination and decision-making skills.
Responsibilities
Pre-Installation
- Develop Installation and Commissiong planning together with project team.
- Verify site readiness (access, logistics, power, water, safety fencing).
- Attend Factory Acceptance Testing at key suppliers together with Supply chain Manager and engineering team.
Installation & Commissioning Execution
- Coordinate and manage all on-site activities during installation and commissioning, involving customers, internal teams, and suppliers.
- Ensure quality and compliance of supplier execution with agreed technical requirements and project documentation.
- Ensure site safety and proper documentation throughout all installation and commissioning steps.
Operational readiness & Service
- Support Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) and close all major open points before handover to Service.
- Ensure safe, operable, and fully documented systems at handover.
- Support first-year optimization and service activities post-handover.
